Sad to hear that Davy Jones from the Monkees passed away today...interesting fact David Bowie's real name is David Robert Jones...he took the last name Bowie to avoid being confused with Davy Jones...so without Davy Jones there would be no David Bowie...also the Monkees used to host other musicians on their show back in the day...here is a clip of one of my favorites being introduced by Davy Jones himself, Tim Buckley singing one of the most romantic and moving songs of all time...Song To The Siren..
Here is a short clip to remind us all how awesome David Bowie is and by extension how awesome Davy Jones was (because without him, no Bowie)
